JOBBOARDS

Now that you have a working resume it is time to put it to the test!

Catch 22 when it comes to posting your resume online.

Unless you have not turned on a television or a radio in the last few years you will note that the big three job sites on the internet are Careerbuilder, Monster, and Yahoo Hot Jobs.

These are not the end all of job related web sites but you really need to consider what you are doing before posting your resume to one of these sites.

*Be aware your current employer may use one of these sites to pull resumes or post jobs. Not a good thing if you have your resume posted as your resume will come up first as you already have experience at the company.  Oops!

Reviews:

Career Builder: http://www.careerbuilder.com This site makes a ton of sense if you want to set up a search agent that e-mails you daily (note make sure to use your personal e-mail). I’ve posted jobs and resumes on this site and gotten serious results.

*Biggest plus to this site is that you can preview the jobs in your e-mail.

Yahoo Hot Jobs:

Yahoo Hot Jobs offers a great array of services and has great partners when it comes to companies posting jobs.  I suggest you visit this site as well.

Monster.com: An excellent site to both post and search for jobs. Create a profile and build your monster job search agent. For best results I suggest you create multiple search agents.
